STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Lundin Norway has received consent for the drilling of twoexploration wells, 6407/10-4 and 16/1-25S, in the Norwegian Sea and North Sea, respectively, from Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA).
Norwegian Sea
Lundin Norway is the operator for PL700B and has received consent to drill explorationwell 6407/10-4 in the Norwegian Sea.
Drilling will begin in September 2015 at the earliest and is estimated to last 69 days, depending on whether a discovery is made. The well is to be drilled by the Island Innovator semisubmersible.
North Sea
Lundin is the operator for PL338C in Block 16/1 in the central North Sea and has received consent for the drilling of exploration well 16/1-25S. The well is to be drilled in a prospect called Rolvsnes.
The Borgland Dolphin semisubmersible will be used for the well. Drilling will begin in mid-September 2015 at the earliest and is estimated to last 45 days, depending on whether a discovery is made.
