1. Product Description
The Electric Submersible Pump, abbreviated as ESP, is a full-set downhole artificial lifting system manufactured in accordance with API RP 11S2 standards, widely deployed for onshore deep oil wells, offshore platform production wells, horizontal deviated wells and geothermal water injection operations. As mainstream high-flow crude oil extraction equipment, the whole assembly is placed inside production
Tubing and fully submerged in well fluids. Driven by a hermetically sealed submersible motor, multi-stage centrifugal pump components continuously lift crude oil, formation water and gas-liquid mixtures from deep underground to surface gathering pipelines. Distinct from conventional
Beam Pumping Units, ESP requires minimal ground space, delivers stable large-volume flow and supports intelligent variable-speed regulation, making it the optimal lifting solution for high-yield reservoirs and wells with high water cut.
A complete ESP system contains two core modules: downhole assembly and surface control equipment. The downhole string is arranged sequentially from bottom to top: submersible motor, pressure-balancing protector, gas-liquid separator, multi-stage centrifugal pump, check valve and downhole temperature & pressure monitoring sensor. Armored flat power cables run along tubing to transmit three-phase power from ground variable speed drive cabinets to the motor, while built-in sensors feed real-time downhole operating data back to control terminals for automatic monitoring and production adjustment. The multi-stage pump features stacked impellers and diffusers; optional wide-channel wear-resistant impellers effectively adapt to sand-laden, high-viscosity and high gas fraction well fluids. The protector forms a reliable isolation barrier for the motor cavity, balances internal and external pressure and blocks corrosive well fluid infiltration, greatly extending service life under extreme working conditions including high temperature, hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide corrosion.
This ESP series supports vertical, inclined and horizontal wellbore installation. Flow rate and lifting head can be flexibly matched based on reservoir productivity. Variable frequency control adjusts operating speed in real time to match dynamic formation output changes, eliminating idle operation and energy waste. Characterized by low running noise, high automation and simple routine maintenance, ESP effectively boosts oil recovery efficiency and cuts long-term comprehensive oilfield operating costs, serving as standard supporting equipment for modern onshore and offshore oil & gas development projects.
