High-quality bearings are essential for long bit life and stable performance. Depending on the design, the bit may use roller bearings, journal bearings, or sealed bearing systems to protect internal components from contamination and wear.Roller cone bits are often selected for their ability to perform reliably in mixed formations where rock hardness changes frequently. They are also valued for their strong impact resistance and relatively simple operating principle.
